The Punjab State Educational Board and Training Council (SCERT) officially announced the notification for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET). The PSTET 2024 Exam is scheduled to be held on 01 December 2024. Interested candidates can apply online at PSTET official website at www.pstet.pseb.ac.in.
PSTET 2024 Exam Pattern:
The PSTET 2024 Exam will be divided into 2 parts:
- Paper I for Primary Teachers from Class 1st to 5th
- Paper II for Primary Teachers from class 6th to 8th

Eligibility Criteria for PSTET 2024
Candidates can check the eligibility criteria for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET):
Age Limit:
No Age limit is required to apply for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET). All candidates are eligible to apply for the PSTET Exam 2024.
Application Fee:
- General, OBC:
- For Paper-I, the fee is Rs. 600/-.
- For both Paper-I and Paper-II, the fee is Rs. 1200/-.
- SC, ST, PH:
- For applicants from SC, ST, or PH categories, the fee for Paper-I is Rs. 300/-.
- For both Paper-I and Paper-II, the fee is Rs. 600/-.
Mode of Payment:
- Payment must be made online through available options such as credit/debit cards, net banking, or other online payment gateways.
Educational Qualification:
To be eligible for Paper I and Paper II, candidates must have one of the following qualifications:
For Paper I Classes I-V:
- Candidates must have Senior Secondary with at least 45% marks and completed or 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary with at least 50% marks and completed or pursuing a 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and completed or pursuing a 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduates with 50% marks and a B.Ed degree.
For Paper II Classes VI-VIII:
- Graduation and completed or pursuing the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Graduation with 50% marks and completed or enrolled in a 1-year B.Ed program.
- Graduation with 45% marks and pursuing or completing a 1-year B.Ed (as per NCTE norms).
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and pursuing or completed a 4-year B.El.Ed or B.A/B.Sc.Ed.
- Graduation with 50% marks and completed or enrolled in a 1-year B.Ed (Special Education).

- After reaching the homepage, now click on PSTET Notification 2024.
